1,000 days. That’s how long Cody has been waiting for his person, his couch, his forever home. And honestly? It’s about time this boy gets what he deserves.
At 8 years old, Cody has plenty of life left to live, but he’s also got his priorities straight. Run when he wants to, nap when he wants to, and sass when necessary. He’s very sweet and affectionate, loves attention, and is super friendly—he’ll happily meet new people any day of the week.
But don’t let that fool you—this boy has some serious personality. He’s got short man syndrome in the best way possible and will run with the big dogs when he wants to. He does great on a leash but still gets a little too excited sometimes (especially if treats are involved—because this boy is very treat motivated). He’s basically the Napoleon of huskies—small, mighty, and absolutely convinced he runs the show.
Cody does well with other dogs as long as they know their place. He’s not a fan of pushy pups and prefers to chill with the more submissive crew—the ones who won’t test his patience. But with people? Pure love. He’s affectionate, enjoys car rides, and is a well-rounded, good old boy who just needs a home.
And let’s talk about the best part—the dancy kicks. When Cody gets excited, those little legs get moving, and it’s the funniest thing you’ll see all day. He’s still got some adventure left in him, but at the end of the day, he really just wants his own couch to be a potato on.
Cody is ready. Ready to run, ready to nap, ready to be yours. The only question is—are you ready to share your life with H3's own OG Napoleon?

More about this shelter
We are committed and wholeheartedly dedicated to providing family and emergency services involving rescuing, sheltering, fostering, vetting, adoption and transportation of
"at risk" or "death row" husky and other large dog breeds.
Our goal is to not only provide these services in larger facilities than we currently have but also to use our resources to educate and raise public awareness on the benefits of properly caring for and keeping their pets and/or adopting from shelters and not shopping from breeders.
Our mission is to share our knowledge on the pro's of spay and neuter, the cons of backyard breeding and provide sound advice and services that help the community manage their day to day with their furry family members. Together, we can greatly reduce the number of unaltered, unvaccinated animals in our communities and put a dent in the homeless population by providing access to family services as well as spay, neuter and chip id programs.
