My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🏡 SWEETHEART BRUISER HAS BEEN HOMELESS FOR 670 DAYS 💔
📅 Arrived as a stray: October 17, 2023
🐾 Breed: Staffordshire Terrier
🎂 Age: 5 years

Meet Bruiser, the gentle soul with the heart of a warrior. This sweet boy came to us as a stray and has spent almost 2 YEARS waiting for a family to call his own.
During his medical evaluation, Bruiser was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect — but thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we were able to fund his life-saving heart surgery. Bruiser was so brave, and he’s made a remarkable recovery. Now, all he needs is love.
💖 Bruiser is ready to start his next chapter — with YOU.
He’s:
✅ House-trained and walks beautifully on leash
✅ Knows basic commands
✅ A world-class snuggler
✅ Calm, affectionate, and deeply loyal
Due to his medical history, Bruiser would thrive best in a calm, low- to medium-energy home where he can be the only pet. He just wants a peaceful place to enjoy his second chance at life — and a best friend to share it with.
📢 Please share to help us find Bruiser's forever home. He’s waited long enough. Let’s make sure this sweet boy never spends another night without a family.

BRUISER IS A FREEDOM FRIENDS ELIGABLE PET!
At the Humane Society, we deeply value and honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans. To show our appreciation, we are offering a special opportunity for verified veterans to adopt an animal at 50% off the adoption fee.
This offer applies to all animals who have been in our shelter for 6 months or more, giving these wonderful pets a chance to find the loving homes they deserve, while also providing veterans with a loyal companion.
