My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella, a beacon of joy and energy. Her friendly disposition and playful spirit are infectious, and she's a true friend. Bella is a proud momma who raised ten adorable puppies with love and care. She's not just a good mother, but a great companion too. Bella loves adventures, walks, and car rides, but also enjoys a good cuddle. She is leash and house trained and currently going through heartworm treatment. Bella's sweet nature and love for fun make her a wonderful family pet. Adopt Bella and let her fill your life with love, laughter, and endless tail wags.

Bella is in foster care and is not located at the shelter. Please fill out an application to meet her.

More about this shelter

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
