My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I was given up to the county shelter with my friend Milo. I'm o.k. with children, but it would be good if the children were over 12. I'm a healthy good boy and active at 7 years old. I would do well with a person that likes to go, go, go with me! I need work on my potty training, but I accept a belly band with no problem. I didn't look much like a LH Dachshund until I got groomed and now I'm pretty adorable and hope it helps me find my forever home.

Adopters complete an application, references are given including a vet reference. Home visits are performed along with trial adoptions of up to a week. Adopters are required to sign a contract that is sent through the mail.

More about this rescue

Act2Pups is a 501(c)3 non-profit group. Act2Pups gives senior dogs that have been given up a second chance. Seniors are so easy to take care of. We provide a home environment for all of our senior pups. We are a small group that dedicates all of our rescue efforts to helping senior pets. We give them a thorough veterinary check up to include complete blood work and a dental at the minimum. We spay and neuter always. All of our senior pups are heart worm tested and are started on heart worm preventative.
