My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey!

My name is Silk...named for my beautiful shiny coat! I am only 5 months old and am looking for a forever home. I have a lot of energy, but I can sit and stay - if you give me a chance. I'm also a good listener and am told I have a great smile!!!

Since I am still a puppy, I need someone who has a high energy level like me or who likes to walk (maybe you need to lose weight?) If you want to have someone to cuddle with and run with - I'm your girl!

You can find me at St. Bernard Animal Shelter anytime - but hopefully I won't be there much longer and I'll be at YOUR house instead - wouldn't that be GREAT?

Rank ruu,

Silk

More about this shelter

We may not be the biggest shelter in the metropolitan area, but we are trying hard to be one of the best! The Animal Control division of parish government assumes a unique position in our community. We combine the activities of a humane organization which protects animals, a law enforcement agency which protects people and their interests, and a public health agency which protects people from the dangers and diseases of animals. Thanks to our private support group - Friends of the Animal Shelter - our public shelter provides many services rarely offered by government-run shelters. Visit our website for more information.
