My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kendra, a stunning 3-year-old shepherd mix with a heart full of love and paws full of playfulness. With her expressive eyes and beautifully patterned coat, she's not only irresistibly pretty but also a dream to have around. She's mastered her basic training and behaves wonderfully, making her a perfect companion for those looking for a well-mannered furry friend.

What sets Kendra apart is her remarkable adaptability. Whether it's a calm evening at home or an adventurous day out, she knows how to acclimate to her surroundings and go with the flow. She has a keen sense for when it's time to cuddle on the couch and when it's time to go for an energizing walk around the block. Speaking of walks, she absolutely loves them! Her tail wags in sheer joy at the sight of a leash, and she's sure to make even a simple walk an adventure.

Adding Kendra to your family means inviting a ray of sunshine into your life. She has this unique ability to brighten up any room she walks into. Her cheerful demeanor is contagious, and you'll find that she brings a smile to your face even on the gloomiest of days. Kendra is more than just a pet; she's a loving companion who will shower you with unconditional love and positivity.

This wonderful girl is truly a one-of-a-kind gem and is bound to make an amazing addition to almost any family. With her friendly disposition, intelligence, and adaptability, Kendra promises a lifetime of companionship and joy. Come meet Kendra; your future best friend is waiting to fill your life with happiness and love.

More about this rescue

The vision for ACT has been brewing in the minds of the Animal Compassion Team founders for many years. The paths we have walked have prepared us and tested our determination through hard work, buckets of tears, mountains of fecal matter (a favorite topic of discussion amongst animal rescuers), and more than our fair share of discouragement and heartbreak. Having said that, why would we choose to dive in deeper? For the love of the animals we serve. It is just that simple. Dogs, cats, and other wonderful animals are dying in huge numbers daily. We hope to help change that. In August of 2009, we became a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation with California and the Federal Government. It was and continues to be, a huge leap of faith for all of us who already feel overwhelmed by the work we are doing, but we believe this is the time....this is what we have all been preparing for. One life saved makes all the effort and emotional investment worthwhile. This is going to be an exciting journey, and we hope to post MANY happy endings.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a safe haven for domestic animals, regardless of breed or species, through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for the humane treatment of animals and promote the human-animal bond. To educate the public about the importance of kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership which will emphasize spaying and neutering. To cooperate and work with other animal rescues and shelters towards the goal of becoming a no-kill nation.
