My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Tobin and I have been looking for my furr-ever home since October '22.

I'm 5 years old and I like to hang out in high places. I was found as a stray and am still adjusting to people and inside life.

I do like treats but won't show you, they just disappear! I also like cuddles from my kitty friends.

Tobin would do best with a quiet home who will show him the most love they have! He would benefit with having a kitty friend in his new home. Won't you give him a chance?

Tobin more than likely will not become a lap cat but may come to tolerate sitting near his person. He would prefer a home where he live out his life and enjoy the company of other cats.

We require an application to be submitted. We will call your landlord, if applicable, and your veterinarian. We will visit your home prior to placing a pet with you to ensure as perfect a match as we can. Applying for a pet does not guarantee adoption. Our adoption fee is $100 for cats and $225 for dogs. We have a Senior to Senior adoption program - all pets 7 years of age up may be placed free of charge to a qualified senior citizen (age 65 and older).
.
All HOPE animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. All HOPE animals are tested for heartworm, Lymes, feline leukemia, etc. and have been vaccinated as appropriate for the pet's age and species.

Go meet their pets

You can always see our pets on our website www.hopeanimalrescue.org, and meet our cats at our adoption center in the Wilton Mall.. To meet a specific pet, you can call to set up an appointment with the pet's foster home. We also regularly have adoption clinics in the local area. These are listed on our website, www.hopeanimalrescue.org, or you may call us at (518)-450-7013. Be sure to check us out on Facebook & Instagram.

More about this rescue

We mainly rescue dogs and cats from local Animal Shelters/Control when those facilities are overcrowded. Our adoptable cats are located in our H.O.P.E. Pet Adoption Center in the Wilton Mall and dogs are in individual foster homes.

We have educational programs for children and adults about choosing a pet and the responsibilities of pet ownership, and safety around animals.

We welcome volunteers for any of these programs or for our fundraising committee.
