My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Much like his namesake from West Egg, Gatsby is charming, well-spoken, and distinguished. A huskier gentleman, he offers the warmth and affection of a lifelong friend. His signature croaky meow steals the scene every time, and this hopeless romantic wants nothing more than to snuggle up with you!

In his roaring 20’s, Gatsby is a seasoned soul with stories in his eyes and love in his heart. He’s FeLV positive, but like the true icon he is, he’s lived life on his own terms—gracefully, joyfully, and without missing a beat. He’s not chasing green lights—he’s chasing cozy moments and the simple pleasure of your company.

So if you’re looking for a cat with timeless charm and a heart full of devotion, look no further than Gatsby. He’s not just good, he’s great!

More about this rescue

Established in 1982, We Care Animal Rescue is a no-kill sanctuary and shelter for homeless animals in the heart of Napa Valley. Our residents live and roam freely in communal spaces with safe access to the outdoors.

Our staff ensures animals receive daily socialization, enrichment activities, and veterinary care — particularly the elderly and those with special needs. We provide a forever home for all our animals, either through adoption to the public or with us in our sanctuary.
