My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

📢Meet our extra special gal pal and one of our favs: Zuzu, a gentle soul with a heart of gold! She's part of our Boarding Bunch, Longtimers League, and is also a Senior Spotlight! ~ 7 years old, female, ~80 lbs, special adoption fee!

💔She has been in rescue for 2 YEARS and is sadly aging in her boarding kennel most of the day without a family of her own. Let's help find her forever family and give her the life she deserves!💛

🐶Zuzu is the kind of dog that makes you believe in second chances. She was originally surrendered due to a large tumor she had on her tail but that has since been removed. She needs to be the only dog in the home BUT she’s calm, quiet, seems to be completely potty trained (not a single accident!), and walks on a leash like an absolute dream. She loves her cozy bed, greets every person with a gentle sweetness, and even knows hand signals; she’ll “sit” and offer her paw like a lady for a treat.

Zuzu isn’t just well-behaved, she’s wise and wonderfully soulful. While she may take a little time to fully trust, once she does, she’ll melt into your arms with love and devotion. One look into her eyes and you’ll see the story she carries. She has a scar across her neck, likely from a life before love. But that’s behind her now and she loves to roll over for belly rubs.

From the moment she arrived in foster, she welcomed gentle brushing like it was the first kindness she’d ever known, closing her eyes, laying her head in a lap, finally safe.

Zuzu is ready to find the person who will show her that love is forever this time. Could that be you? This girl has been in rescue for far too long waiting for her turn to have a family of her own. She needs a foster and is desperately waiting for her forever home. PLEASE, consider giving this girl a home, love, and a place she can call her own. We have meet/greets 7 days a week!

If you are interested meeting/fostering/adopting Zuzu, please fill out an application on our website at PawsitiveDifference.org or send us an email at Adopt@PAWsitivedifference.org.

Can't adopt or foster, consider taking her on a foster field trip, even just an hour can make a PAWsitive Difference!
