Hi, I'm Ivory, a sweet girl looking for my forever home. I can be a bit shy when I first meet new people or am in a new place, but I warm up quickly and am a pro at purring and being affectionate! My favourite thing in the world is my window bed. From here, I can watch what's what's going on and snooze in the sun.
My sister, Ebony, and I really love to hang out on the couch with you and I'll happily sleep right beside you. Once I am settled in and trust you, I'll also enjoy having my belly petted. Being super curious, I like to explore all the windows and cupboards, but I know the rules and am good at getting out of the cupboard if I'm told no!
Ebony and I came to VOKRA when our owner was no longer able to care for us. I have a history of skin allergies, but those are being managed by my hypoallergenic diet and being in a low stress home. I also have an early stage of heart disease , which needs to be monitored for now. We are looking for a forever home with no other pets or children, where we can show you how sweet and cuddly we are! Interview
Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

Meet the Pet
When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.
5.
Take the Pet Home
Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.
Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
