Scoots is proof that patience pays off with kitties. When he first came to his foster home, he was tiny and seemed very afraid. Now, he is a full-size kitty, and very curious about the goings-on at home.
When he first arrived, Scoots would not get close enough to humans for them to touch him. Now, if there are treats involved, he will walk into the lap of one of the humans and have his chin rubbed. If said human happens to be lying on the couch, Scoots will think nothing of walking along his leg. He has even allowed himself to be petted three times in the last month (without treats). Previously, if anyone's arm got within 18 inches, Scoots would jump back or run away and hide. Now, most of the time, we can get within a centimeter of him, and he will stand still, or move back an inch.
Scoots is happy to sit on top of the couch, watching what is going on in the household. Alternatively, he can be found playing with his brother, Tux (with whom he must be adopted). He also likes watching the birds on the lawn outside, so window screens are a must. As Scoots will occasionally have a nibble at the houseplants, nothing in his forever home should be poisonous.
Must adopt with Tux.
