Sy and Sage are extremely sweet and chill boys. They love to cuddle, groom, and play with each other and would like nothing more than for you to join in their cuddle piles. While they are very curious and like to play in short bouts, they are not super active. These two generally like to be in the same room as you, either sleeping with each other or trying to be in your lap. They would appreciate someone that works from home or is home frequently without long stretches of leaving them alone.
While Sy is the more adventurous and playful one of the duo, he can be a bit shyer around strangers. Sy and Sage would probably be fine with older children that will not overstimulate them. Sage should minimize exertion due to his heart condition and Sy gets a bit wheezy after short bouts of play. Both generally warm up to new people quickly if it's just one or two individuals. Interview
Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

Meet the Pet
When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.
5.
Take the Pet Home
Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.
Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
