Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bagheera, our friendly and curious little guy, is ready to pounce into your heart! From wand toys to kickeroos to laser pointers, he will bounce off the walls to catch his "prey". Because he is so high energy, it's important that his new family can provide adequate playtime and attention daily.

Bagheera also appreciates those who respect his personal space. If you read his body language and respect his boundaries, you'll be rewarded with his rumbling purrs. Some of his favourite things include sunbathing in his bed, watching birds out the window, and just hanging out. Wherever people are gathered for conversation, Bagheera will be there relaxing and pondering.

Must be adopted into a home without children or other cats.

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
