It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
MELLOW RUE and her 2 siblings (ODIN SUN & NOVA LOVE) were rescued from the a scrap yard in Compton, California. Rescue mama was called that a lady was trapping all the cats and returning them to the yard. That's a great idea, But not for 2 month old tiny kittens. So our trapper went out brough us the kittens so they would not have to die in that scrap yard. That's why they have an ear-tip. It's not a practice that our rescue condones.
Our little MELLOW RUE has been through so much tragedy at such a young age. She deserves a wonderful home that will love her and want to give her a TRUE FUREVER home. She is your typical crazy kitten. She loves to play and play and eat something and then play again. .MELLOW RUE purrs like crazy she is extremely playful loves dogs and cats likes to chase both. She loves to hunt and climb and any type of dangly toys. She absolutely loves her wet food.
*******MELLOW RUE will need a young cat at home to play with. We will not do the adoption if no other young cat is in her current home.******
MELLOW RUE is DOMESTIC LONG HAIR / DILUTED CALICO MIX. She is about 5 months old and is good with cats. She has been around young children and she is very curious about dogs.
MELLOW RUE is currently at a foster home in Quail Valley, California.
ADOPTION PROCESS:

2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

JANUARY 2024: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
