FOR ADOPTION: TAKU is 40lbs of four month old cuteness that is looking for a loving, laid back forever family. This male mixed breed pup came into our care as his owner was facing medical issues. We do not have much info on Taku’s parentage but we know he has a very thick stocky build and blocky head that leads one to assume he is a bully mix. Based on his current size and age, Taku is on track to mature over 100lbs. Taku is a very friendly, smart and willing young dog. He has not yet met someone he considers a stranger, he loves absolutely everyone! Taku has been wonderful with the few other dogs we have introduced him to so far. He is playful and engaging with other playful dogs and very respectful of the mature dogs. He was respectful and quite when tested with cats and will be good with dog savvy children. Taku is a playful pup that doesn’t know his own size and he will accidentally knock over small children. He is a smart pup that is eager to learn and highly trainable. Our caretaker’s 6 year old son had Taku sitting in command within 5 minutes of trying. Taku has excellent leash manners already. He is not yet house trained but is smart and is now in a foster home where he will be working hard on building this skill. Taku is a pup that will be lower medium energy when mature. He will enjoy leisurely walks and moderate hikes but running and anything high impact is not his jam. Taku has his first vaccines and parasite control and will come with a neuter contract in place.
