My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Barney!

Hello friends, my name is Barney! I'm a sweet, senior gentleman. At just 22 pounds, I'm the perfect size for a new best friend! I do well with other dogs, but I haven't met cats or kids yet. Let's be real, if you have older kids, I would get along with them if they are dog savvy. Once I get to know my humans well, I like to keep track of them and always be close. I'm a good boy and do my pottying outside, and I can even manage being home during an 8 hour work day without being in a crate and not make any messes!

I enjoy roaming in my foster home's fenced-in yard, getting all my sniffing in. Boy, the fall leaves sure smell good! They always smell like squirrels and bunnies! I'd even be up for a hike. I also really enjoy going for car rides, and I am very well mannered during them. At the end of the day I will be your best bed buddy and promise to snuggle in real good to recharge my energy to follow you everywhere I'm allowed to the next day! Foster mom says my perfect home and forever people are out there somewhere, and I can't wait to meet them soon! Are you looking for the best boy to bring home with you?

*Barney is being fostered in the Mount Horeb area.
