My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sam is an 11-month-old purebred standard poodle who is currently around 50 lbs, leggy, and probably still has a little growing to do. Sam grew up with small kids and he’s pretty respectful of them, and he really wants to play with all the dogs we’ve introduced him to. He is crate trained and about 50/50 with his housebreaking.
Sam wasn’t really well-socialized in his previous home so he is very skittish with new people, especially men, but he warms up quickly once he knows you’re safe. He knows some basic commands, but he is not leash trained at all, so he will need an adopter who is patient and prepared to work with him. He is high energy and would really enjoy a securely fenced yard. He would also develop confidence if he lived in a home with another balanced dog. Poodles are smart and sensitive dogs and we would love to find a home with breed experience for Sam.
Sam is up to date on core vaccines but he needs to be neutered so we have that scheduled for next week
