DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi, I’m Stella! I’m an active, friendly girl on the lookout for a new best friend. Some people who see me think I'm a Shiba Inu, some think I'm a Korean Jindo, some say Canaan Dog... I don't really care, because everyone agrees that I'm gorgeous. I’m very playful and very energetic and I really love people, including kids, and will walk or hike with you as long as you like. I'm OK with dogs in general and I'm not aggressive or leash reactive but, okay, I'm a dominant sort of gal and don't much like other dogs getting in my face too much and would probably prefer to be the only canine in the house. I've got some smarts too and I know the commands sit and lay down. I absolutely LOVE playing with toys and I also know how to catch! I just want to find a place where I can feel safe and loved. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
