Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oreo is a Malshipoo (Maltese/Shihtzhu/Poodle) mix born on 10-13-2022. He weighs about 15 lbs and he’s tall with long legs. Through no fault of his own, he is looking for a new family to call his own.
He recently went through some major upheaval when his family of 9 decided they didn’t have time for a puppy. Puppies do take time and patience. Oreo found himself in foster care and was very confused but he’s a smart boy and doing his best to adjust.
He is learning to potty on leash and coming along with housetraining. He is also learning sit and stay. He is very agile and could easily jump a 4 ft fence if left alone so a secure fence preferred. For him an electric fence is out of the question.
He has a very timid, sensitive soul. He does best in peaceful environments with a calming human who uses positive reinforcement. In addition to being a lap dog he likes to sleep with his person. He is a Velcro dog and attaches rather quickly. Oreo also seems to have a fondness for older children who could play and snuggle. He is still a PUPPY and does require an active life. He’s doing ok with leash walking and enjoys park walks.
He seems to do very well with other well-mannered dogs. We are unsure about cats but he doesn’t show any aggression. In both his original home and foster home he was rarely if ever left alone. So separation anxiety could be an issue if you are not mostly home. We are not certain how he would do in a crate.
