Animal, named after Animal from the muppets, is nothing like her wild puppet friend but instead quite the opposite! She is a quiet and shy girl who loves to play with the softest of swats at feather toys and small pounces, whose favorite activities are lounging in windowsills and watching the world go by or playing with her feline friends.
Animal is looking for a patient human companion with at least one other cat in the home so she can feel most safe and secure and continue learning to come out of her shell as an indoor cat. She was rescued from the streets of Brooklyn and is currently being fostered in a home with many other foster kitties, so gets along with cats of all ages. Although she is not yet a lap cat that doesn't mean she won't be someday soon with the right person giving her a chance! Could that person be you?
Animal is FIV/FeLV-, vaccinated and has already been spayed. Not ideal for a home with active kids or loud lifestyles, would do best in a home with another cat.

We ask an adoption fee of $175 Which includes a general health exam, spay /neuter surgery, and microchip ID implant, Felv/FIV testing, age-appropriate vaccinations including rabies.

Meowsquad is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization started in 2019. Our goal is to reduce the large stray and feral cat population of New York City by using Trap Neuter Return (TNR) techniques as well as working with the community to find forever homes for cats and kittens that can be resocialized. We also aim to relocate those who cannot be returned into safe, working environments.
