Duke is a 4 year old Min Pin mix who was rescued from one of our local shelter partners. Those who know the Min Pin breed will recognize the personality just bursting out of Duke, even from his pictures! Like his name suggests, this royal pup knows how cute he is and he struts his stuff to show it!

Below is a note from Duke’s foster.

“Duke is a very smart and curious pup. He loves to cuddle and he loves to play. He adores his squeaky toys and can keep himself occupied for hours if I am working and can’t toss his toys for him. He loves to roll around in his dog bed. He is such a goofy dog with so much personality, even though he is very small.

Duke wakes up around 8 AM and gets his morning walk and potty break. He comes inside for breakfast and then snuggles in for a morning nap. He gets another potty break around noon and likes to hang out and play with his toys throughout the afternoon. In the evening, he gets a longer walk and has dinner before watching TV with us. Bedtime is at 10 PM and he sleeps in his crate. Duke has not had any accidents with us.

Duke is learning his leash manners with other dogs on walks. He gets very excited when he sees other dogs outside but takes corrections well. He could live with another dog, but he would love to soak up solo love from his forever home. He loves all the adults and kids he has met. He is going to be such a good companion for his lucky new family.”

Duke is only an option for those homes who have owned a dog previously. Children in the home should be over the age of 15.

More about this rescue

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
