My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, friends! My name is Luna and I'm a sweet girl who is a homebody.

When I'm not on a walk with my foster, you can find me playing with my kong, chewing on a bone, sunbathing, or napping! I can be a little shy and anxious. I get overstimulated easily by other dogs with big personalities, so I would do best as the only dog in your home.

I need a strong handler who has the patience to help me build trust and independence by continuing to reinforce boundaries and structure. My foster mom says I'm really special, that I connect incredibly well with my caretaker when we're away from distractions and I feel safe.

I would prefer a calm lifestyle where I get to decompress and relax at home. It would be nice if there aren't too many frequent guests around, that way I can settle into a routine. I can't wait to meet you!

More about this rescue

We are a foster/volunteer based 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue in Dallas, Texas. Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pit bull type dogs in shelters and on the streets through rescue, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy.

Our goal is to educate the public about a breed that often falls victim to breed specific legislation, discrimination, and cruelty and promote responsible pet ownership through spay/neuter initiatives, vaccinations, and training resources.
