My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1,060 Days Waiting for a Forever Home

Picture this: it’s January 2022, and a sweet lionhead bunny hops confidently up to a Good Samaritan as if to say, ā€œExcuse me, I am lost but I belong in a home.ā€ That’s how Sydney’s journey began — a trusting, house bunny suddenly finding herself a stray, stranded and alone. Fast forward nearly 3 years (yes, 3 YEARS!), and Sydney is still waiting for her hoppily-ever-after.

Sydney is estimated to be 5 years old, is spayed and litter box trained. Her charming lionhead mane is understated and doesn’t require the high-maintenance grooming some other bunnies do (looking at you, Prince). But here’s the thing — agouti bunnies like Sydney often get overlooked. Yes, REWs and all black buns have it the worst but agoutis follow right after.

More about this rescue

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
