My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shadow šŸ‘ļøā€šŸ—Øļø is one of our senior sanctuary residents, Shadow is a 6Y4M old, neutered dwarf Hotot. He is tiny at just 2.5 lb, litter box trained, and very well behaved when free roaming.

šŸ“… Days in rescue: 1,173

Shadow first came into our care in September 2022 after Hurricane Ian damaged the west-coast shelter he was living in. When he arrived, he was ā€œscared of his own shadow,ā€ hence the name. But over the last 3 years, thanks in no small part to his amazing foster, he has come out of his shell and is now one of the friendliest and most social bunnies in the rescue.

He is currently living his best life in a long-term foster home, but is also available for adoption to a forever home where he can enjoy his golden years. Ideally, with a bunwife to snuggle with. Because dwarf rabbits are especially small and fragile, we are seeking a home without children under 12, unless the family has prior experience with rabbits.

More about this rescue

SOS FL Animal Rescue is a non-profit rescue for rabbits and guinea pigs. We are animal lovers who are experienced rabbit and guinea pig owners. We both fostered small animals with other rescues for years before meeting each other and deciding to start our own rescue so that more rabbits and guinea pigs could be saved. We take in all rabbits and guinea pigs, including unwanted animals, seniors, and medical cases.
