My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Schumacher

Age: 4 years old (as of 5/28/23)

Gender: Male

Weight: 22.5 kgs / 50 lbs.

Breed: Husky

Spayed/Neutered? yes

Vaccinated? Yes

HeartWorm Negative?  Yes

Good with dogs? Yes

Good with kids? Yes

Good with cats? We don´t know

Has experience on a leash?  Yes

Potty trained? Yes, clean in his area at the boarding facility. Will adjust rapidly to new house rules

Crate trained? Yes, but not for long periods of time.

Where does the dog stay when it is alone? At the moment he has to share his space with other dogs at the boarding facility.  he is staying with other rescue dogs where he doesn’t have his own space, but he is an independent dog that allows himself to be apart from the pack.

Where does the dog sleep? At the moment he has to share his space with other dogs at the boarding facility.

Temperament/Personality: Schumacher is a social and happy Husky. He is the submissive type, he is playful, he gets along well with other dogs, he loves human companionship, he loves outdoor activities and he enjoys just being by his human side. Schumacher is one of a kind Husky because unlike Huskies he is well behaved and well balanced.

What does the dog's ideal home look like? Schumacher would adapt well with adults or a family with kids since he is an easy going dog. He would do great with another dog as well. Schumacher is smart, and loves outdoor activities so he would be ideal for an active family. He would make the best hiking companion.

What is the dog's rescue story? Schumacher was roaming around his rescuer's neighborhood. We think that he was abandoned since he is well behaved at home, he is good in the car and he is even is crate trained. Schumacher was about to be ran over, but fortunately for him his rescuer helped him to avoid that and took him under her care. Since that day she is hoping to find him his beloved forever family.

Schumacher is waiting in Mexico until a family is commited to fostering him or taking him on a trial. If you are interested, apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org his adoption fee is $550
