Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Frizzle is an aussiedoodle which means her parents were an australian shepherd and a poodle. She was born on 7/11/23 and is just the cutest little girl! This little girl seems to love everyone although she can be shy initially. She does love playing with the other dogs and is very social with other canines. She is a typical puppy who is inquisitive and always trying to learn but she absolutely loves getting attention and snuggles once she warms up to you! Frizzle has a gentle, friendly personality and is just a fun little dog who seems like she could be quite versatlie. She is pretty much up for anything, as long as she is with you and once she feels comfortable with you. She is not fully housebroken and unsure on crate trained since she hasn't really been in one with us so she will need work on learning to potty only outside. She also has not been on a leash much so she will need to learn proper leash etiquette,if you plan to walk her. She does well in a fenced area and does not try to climb or dig out. She would fit well into any household and we feel that she would do fine with cats and other critters, even though she hasn't been around either with us. We just feel that she has the kind of personality that would do well with anyone or anything. Of course, a proper introduction and setting boundaries are always needed to ensure a smooth transition and proper social skills. She rides ok but recommend getting her used to traveling if you do that regularly and plan to take her with you. Because of Frizzle's long beautiful and curly "doodle" coat, she will need to be groomed regularly, either by you or by a professional groomer, so please be prepared for that. Grooming her regularly will keep her coat in good condition and keep her looking his best! Frizzle is an all around awesome little dog and someone is going to be very lucky to add her to their family! Frizzle saw the vet on 11/1/23. She was found to have a small reducible umbilical hernia which was repaired when she was spayed and no other issues on her health exam. She did test positive for hookworms so we have treated her with Drontal. She may need a follow up dewormer in 3 weeks. She is currently too young for a heartworm test but she has been started on Simparica Trio for heartworm prevention and flea control. She weighed 17.3 pounds as of 11/1/23. We anticipate that she will be a medium sized dog when full grown.
If interested in giving Frizzle her forever home, please submit your interest and your adoption application via email or text ONLY to 352-215-3260 (phone calls will not be answered or returned from this number). Frizzle's adoption fee will be $400 to help cover the cost of her vetting and daily care while with us. We will only consider applicants who complete the adoption application. We expect a high volume of interest for Frizzle and will be accepting applications for her prior to making our final decision for placement. Please be patient as we try to wade thru the interest and applications to find her best match.
