Say hey to MacGregor! MacGregor and his siblings came to us after being found as strays. We believe MacGregor was born in April of 2023. MacGregor is a sweet guy that enjoys playing with stuffed mice, crinkle balls and roller ball toys! He is a bit more on the independent side, and can be a bit reserved when he first meets a new person, but it isn't long before he is curled up snoozing next to you. MacGregor likes to be petted when he is laying next to you, and if he isn't laying next to you - he is snuggled up with a friend or sibling. Loud noises or fast movements make him a bit nervous, but he recovers quickly and is back out and about playing or snuggling with friends. MacGregor would prefer a calmer home with a kitty friend to keep him company, and help build his confidence, or he would like to take a friend or sibling with him when he gets adopted! MacGregor can't wait to find a home to call his very own, and put shelter life behind him!
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
