My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tinker was found as a stray. He was a little beat up from being outside and getting picked on by other cats. He is loving the indoor life. He is a handsome fluffy boy. He is mostly black from the top of his head to his tail, but he is almost completely white on his chest and tummy. He is about 1 and 1/2 years old and is really playful, but he also likes to sit on your lap and he loves to watch bird videos on YouTube.

He is very talkative, especially when it is time to eat. He would do best with a young adult cat, but he would be fine as a single cat if he has plenty of toys to play with and a scratching post and/or cardboard scratcher. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
