My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mortimer is one of our last remaining Carolina Dogs that came to us in a hoarding case last year. He was one of the shyest of the bunch, and has been slowly gaining confidence in a foster home. He's unsure of many things, but loves fluffy toys, especially those with a squeaker and trying new snacks (spray cheese is one of his favs!). Mortimer will need a home willing to work with him and help show him what being a family member is all about! He would do best in a home with a calmer dog and no cats.

Additional adoption info

Please come in and visit with our pets available for adoption. Once you find an animal you would like to adopt, you will be asked to fill out an adoption survey and meet with an adoption counselor. We do require landlord approval and we do not adopt out animals to live completely outside. Our adoption fees are $75 for dogs and cats under 5 years old and $55 for those 5 years and older.

More about this shelter

The shelter has very active volunteer and foster programs. Volunteers walk dogs and help with cat care. Fosters take young, shy and injured animals into their homes to prepare them for adoption. Learn more on our website and consider getting involved today!
