My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ashley! She`s a gentle girl full of affection. Ashley`s hobbies include chasing small spring toys and finding as many places to nap as possible. When you get home from work she likes to greet you for cheek scritches and a chat! Ashley has a very distinctive meow and loves to share about her day while rubbing against your ankles to let you know how you`ve been missed! Ashley has the beautiful looks to match her beautiful personality and looks forward to regular grooming sessions to keep her looking like the star she is! This gorgeous girl has previously lived with other cats but would probably be happy as a singleton too, so if you`re looking for girl that funny, loving, and not too energetic, then Ashley might be your dream kitty!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
