Hazel is a stunner of a girl looking for a forever family to call her own.
This sweet, loving girl enjoys being around grown-up people and is a big cuddle bug. Wherever your hand is, her head is going to find it so she can let you know she is ready to be loved. Her ideal home would be mostly adults and/or have children over the age of five.
She loves squeaky toys that she can swing around and play tug of war with. And she would love to have a home where she can run around and play outside. (Unless there are thunderstorms or fireworks. Instead, she will need a loving lap and lots of reassurance and affection.)
Miss Hazel would have a great time in a home with dogs (who are nonreactive) or she would be just fine as a solo dog. In her current foster home, she gets to hang out every day with other big-breed dogs and she loves running around with them and taking naps together. Hazel is selective when it comes to cat friends.
She is very smart and has learned quite a few commands - Come, Sit, Down, Place, Break, Heel, Off, and No. She has solid recall skills and her foster is able to call her from a 1 acre area. Her leash manners are good and she is housetrained.
Sweet Hazel is a doll and is looking for just the right person or family that will give her all the love in the world. And she will not disappoint in giving that love right back to you.

More about this rescue
To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.
To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.
We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
