Cori has come a long way since she was first rescued. She was surrendered at 7yo after living in a backyard with her male sibling and the parent dogs. They didn’t do her any favors, stealing her youth, making her live 24/7 in a backyard and being attacked by the other dogs. Then to make matters worse, they said that she was “dog aggressive and afraid of men” on the surrender form.
Turns out she was repeatedly attacked by the other dogs that she lost many teeth while defending herself.
When she first came to us she was shut down and would not make eye contact. She tried to escape and seemed disconnected. We gave her time and patience. It paid off…
She is NOT dog aggressive and she has made many dog friends while with her foster. She is fine with kind humans, male and female. She is now very accustomed to being a part of the family and living INSIDE a home! She is house trained, great on leash, loves car rides and is extremely easy going and grateful for this new life.
She would be fine as an only dog or part of a pack. She plays well with the younger dogs and enjoys sunbathing with the older dogs.
