My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Aggie! Aggie is a 5 year old bulldog mix. She is 92lbs of sweetness and is seeking her forever home. She comes with the following skills already:
✅️crate trained
✅️potty trained
✅️low to medium energy
✅️walks nicely on leash, knows "sit"
✅️takes treats nicely
✅️Spayed & up-to-date on vaccines
Her perfect home would include leisurely strolls around the neighborhood (think 4-6 blocks at a casual pace). A cupboard full of dog-friendly snacks, a comfy bed and all the petting and scratches you can give. Aggie also enjoys car rides. She would do best children older than 10 years of age and as an only pet.
And one more thing, finding someone who has the patience to love a BLIND dog!! She has adjusted very well to being blind and doesn't let it slow her down.
Being blind does come with some differences compared to owning a fully sighted dog:
-lots of noise can overwhelm her
-she doesn't enjoy dog on dog interactions so these should be avoided.
-you have to talk alot to her and make silly noises so she knows where you are.
-noisey toys are fun and she enjoys various enrichment activities to kept her brain sharp.
If you believe that you could be her perfect match, please fill out an application and meet the bestest blind dog around!

More about this rescue

Canine Cupids' mission is to protect and improve the lives of homeless, neglected, and exceptional needs dogs and to place them in permanent, loving homes.

Canine Cupids is a Certified 501c3 Organization
DATCPLicense: 288601-DS

Canine Cupids work with animals, within our community and throughout our organization is guided by three core values: compassion, integrity and dedication.

Because every animal deserves to be loved, we feel it is our moral responsibility to protect and improve the lives of abused, abandoned, and homeless dogs, and to place them in loving permanent homes.

We strive to work with animal control agencies as well as other rescues and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless pets within our community.

At Canine Cupids our founding principle is that "ALL dogs are individuals and deserve to be regarded as such". This mindset is core to the belief system at The Animal Farm Foundation. It assists in securing equal treatment and opportunity for "pit bull" dogs - as well as all dogs, regardless of size, color, etc.

"We owe it to all dogs to see them for who they really are, free of prejudice, stereotypes, and assumptions that are based on a known pedigree, a breed label guess, physical appearance, or their past history."*

"Breed related traits are not guaranteed. If a dog does conform to breed traits that does not mean a dog isn't an individual! Breed characteristics may contribute to a dog?s individuality, but they are not the whole story." *

Don't judge a book by its cover and don't judge a pooch by its stereotype!
