My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maya is a sweet girl who loves pets and playing. This independent girl takes on the world on her own terms and is fairly confident. She is small in stature but big in personality. She enjoys being with her people and won't turn down pets but is not a snugly lap cat. She likes to have fun playing with other cats and sometimes just the random object she finds on the floor. Maya has some food sensitivity and does best with having some Blue Buffalo Blissful Belly and Science Diet Sensitive Stomach.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
