My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Guinness! Guinness is a gentle soul who just wants to be with with human who will dedicate some time to his training and help him build confidence. He is not an escape artist, but has climbed over a 4 foot fence to be with the humans when something scared him. Loud noises, like gunshots, loud trucks, and cars make him nervous. He will seek his human for reassurance, and security. There is still some puppy-like behavior, as this dude is a collector of toys, dog bowls, and maybe even your shoes. He will need items that he is allowed to chew on, or he may chew on things he isn't supposed to. Guinness gets along great with other dogs of all sizes, has been great with my livestock and ignores the cat. Guinness is crate trained, and will let you know when he needs to go outside. He is working on not jumping on people and basic manners. Guinness will make a great addition to you and/or your family, he is a fairly chill dude, with lots of love to give.

Go meet their pets

Our pets are currently in foster homes as well as we have a program with the local women's prison. With the prison the animals live in the room with the inmate handler and receive socialization and training. We have just recently added dogs to our program with the prison. Generally the pets are brought to our office for their meet and greets and adoptions. We also do adoption events at the Petsmart in Lacey Washington.

More about this rescue

We are a small but mighty Humane Society serving an underserved county with adoption, spay and neuter, wellness, stray recovery, and other animal related services. Currently we are all foster as we don't have a shelter yet, but we have a 5 acre parcel we are going to build a shelter on. We have started the planning process with Shelter Planners of America. We are just moving into a larger office where we hope to provide vet services, have a pet food bank, operate our spay and neuter clinic and other exciting things for the future.
