You may remember seeing Luke on our website before, as he was with us from October to February! He was adopted into a loving home, but recently returned due to his adopter's circumstances suddenly changing.
We are sad that Luke is back at the shelter, but must admit that we do love having this little boy around. We make sure his days are fun-filled-- just look at all his playgroup videos! Luke is Mr. Popular. His nickname here is Luke Licky and that is because he has this habit of greeting all his dog friends with a free teeth cleaning courtesy of his tongue! He loves to lick his friends' mouths and snoots! Luke has had many roommates since he has been in our care. Currently, he is rooming with Xiomara. He loves having the companionship of a dog friend in his kennel and in life.
Luke is a special and wonderful soul who has been looking for his permanent home for far too long. We hope his people will hurry up and find him, because he so deserves a place to call home.
Since Luke has spent time in a foster home before being adopted, and then spent two months in an adoptive home, we do know a lot about him!
Luke:
- crate trained
- housebroken
- A bit scared of kids, he will bark at them
- takes food & treats SO GENTLY it's unreal
- loves to curl up in bed with you
- seriously so chill. Found his spot when we got home and has been so content there
- loves to chew!
- listens if he's told "no
- great in the car
- clearly loves other dogs even if they don't love him back
- Boxer puppy eyes I mean COME ON
- honestly just so polite and SWEET
Luke's adoption fee is $250. This animal is neutered, is up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
