My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hi to Peapod. When Peapod came to live with her foster mom she was particularly tiny and dainty, hence her name. Though she's grown a bit since, the name still suits her. She looks like a white cat that someone splashed tabby fur all over, including a pea shaped splotch on one shoulder and her entire tail. Peapod is adorable, very curious and friendly - and particularly good at napping on the couch behind her foster mom's legs. Being a teenage kitten she loves running all over the house with her foster sister, Lulubelle, dashing through her cat tunnels, batting toys all over the kitchen, and figuring out what her foster mom is eating and attempting to steal it right off her plate (we're working on that). She also has a particular love of running water - it's her favorite toy - she'll shove her head under it and drink water or just dip her paw in it to see what happens. There's something particularly cute and lovable about Peapod that's hard to capture in photos - come meet her and see if you agree!

Peapod also shares her home with a 65lb dog sister, and they get along just fine and even snuggle occassionally - she'd do great in a home with a friendly dog. Peapod is a great little all around cat - agreeable, social and curious and would love to find a place in your home! If you're looking for a ready-made pair, please also consider her foster-mate LuluBelle.

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a compatible playful cat. Kittens really need a feline playmate in their forever home…and then they can get to play, and snuggle while you're not home, wrestle with each other instead of with your ankles, and grow up with an always-available companion. Bored cats can become destructive cats. If you are only interested in adopting a single kitten, and you’re home most of the day, and able to spend interactive time with a kitten, we may consider adopting out a single kitten. We usually prefer that they be 4 months or older. But each application will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Many of our kitten litters may also be able to be mixed ‘n matched to make a pair if they are not particularly bonded with a sibling. Each foster home knows the kittens' personalities best, and we follow their recommendations for single placements or mix/matching.

Peapod's approximate date of birth is 8/6/23, and her adoption fee is $185, which includes: vet exam, Feleuk/FIV test, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccinations, routine dewormings, flea control, microchip and spay.
