My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Emma - Emma
--------------------
Name: Emma
Age: 4 months and a half (Born on June 15th)
Gender: Female
Weight: 9 kilograms
Breed: Mix (Mother is a Labrador mix, Father is a mix breed)
Vaccination and Neutering: Vaccination is complete, and neutering is planned for next month as she is still too young.

Relationship with adults: Emma is very friendly, approaches people well, and enjoys cuddles. She's the most affectionate and cheerful among her siblings.

Relationship with kids: Emma hasn't met kids, but she seems to be friendly and approachable.

Relationship with other dogs: She gets along well with her siblings and has been trained not to play too roughly. She can adjust and play in a controlled manner.

Relationship with cats: Emma has met a cat but approached it too enthusiastically. She didn't show aggression but needs to learn some manners.

House training: Emma mostly does her business indoors and is good with pee pads.

Energy level: Despite being a young large breed puppy, she has a moderate energy level and is not too demanding. She pays attention to human commands, but ongoing training is necessary.

Separation anxiety/Barking: Emma doesn't have separation anxiety and doesn't bark much even when playing actively.

Touch and handling: Emma enjoys being touched and licking instead of nipping. She likes being close to people.

Walking on the leash: She is a bit unsure about collars and harnesses but enjoys walks.

Escape artist: Emma doesn't try to escape but may push through a low fence to approach people.

Rescue Story: Emma was taken care of by you when her mother, Yellen, came to a restaurant near your horse-riding center two years ago. Yellen gave birth to seven puppies in June, and the restaurant owners entrusted you with their care. They were breastfed for two months and then weaned onto formula and solid food. Some of the puppies were adopted, but you continue to care for Emma and three other puppies, providing them with basic training, vaccinations, and recently completed their fifth round of vaccinations and rabies shots.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs fly from Korea to the US when their adoptions are finalized. Therefore, we can not provide the "meet and greet." Multiple video clips will be provided and we will help you walk through the steps to reassure the adopted dog and the adopter are the best match for each other. Some dogs are available for meet and greet if the dogs are fostered in the US.

More about this rescue

WELCOME PAWS: KOREAN DOG RESCUE is a registered nonprofit charity organization run by all-volunteers who are dedicated to the animal welfares.

We rescue stray, neglected and abused animals, city sheltered animals and dog meat trade animals in South Korea. All of our pets are cared for by loving foster homes and receiving complete medical cares before they are ready to meet their FURever families. We find them best fitted home in the United States, Canada, and South Korea.

Furthering our cause is the most important goal of our organization. We seek to support, empower, and provide high quality resources and educations to our adopters. Our success isn’t measured in terms of wealth or profit margin, but by the value we provide to those we serve.
