Meet Layla, a gorgeous 3-year-old Border Collie mix who was transferred in to Big Dog Ranch in 2023 from Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control. Now she’s ready to find her loving forever home. Layla is a smart, sensitive girl who is very true to her breed, so she’ll do best with an adopter who has experience with Border Collies and understands their unique needs. With her moderate energy level, Layla enjoys a nice balance of activity and downtime. She’s great on a leash, loves her walks, and enjoys playtime with her toys—especially when water is involved. She also does well with other dogs, making her a wonderful fit for a home with canine companions. Layla is housetrained, knows her basic commands, and is food-motivated which makes her eager to please. At first, she can be a little shy or timid with new people, but once she feels safe and comfortable, her affectionate side shines through. Layla truly loves to cuddle and will happily snuggle up with the people she trusts.
