My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Poppy is a very petite young (1.5 years) mom who is ready to find her furever home. She has transitioned from stray life into the spoiled indoor cat life beautifully. Her purr is LOUD, and she loves allll the pets. She is constantly seeking me out in the house to get pets, sit on my lap while I work or to just to sit by me. She loves affection, and actively seeks it out. She loves belly rubs and will flop on the floor showing her belly - there are no ‘do not pet’ zones with this one. I can't emphasize enough how sweet and loving she is! I've watched her nervous wide eyes turn to curious/relaxed/excited eyes, and it is so fun to see. She has even started playing with all the toys along with her kittens! Very very affectionate. Friendly with other cats, and very calm when meeting/no fuss.

She still sometimes gets nervous when people ‘go at her’ to pet her, and she might jump up, but if put your had out she will immediately and happily come to you, even if she was just startled. I think this is just left over protective instincts from being a stray, as it is becoming less and less prominent as she gets more confident.

For this reason and only this reason, I wouldn’t recommend her for a home with kids who are still learning boundaries and gentleness with animals. She has shown no aggression at anything, this is only for her stress levels acclimating to a new environment.
Litter box trained and has been phenomenal about taking medicine after her spay - no biting/scratching and minimal fuss. Amazed by how adaptable she is
