My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Demmi and Danni, two beautiful sisters who have been patiently waiting for their forever home for over four years and ten months (that's a staggering 1787 days). Despite their undeniable charm and beauty, these lovely felines have been consistently overlooked time and time again. While over 100's of their foster siblings have found their loving families, Demmi and Danni have yet to receive a single adoption application.

But why have they struggled to find a home, you may ask? The answer lies in their shy nature. Demmi and Danni are in need of a patient and understanding family who is willing to invest the time and effort to show them that they are safe and loved. They yearn for a quiet and peaceful home environment, ideally with someone who is looking to adopt bonded sisters and has no other pets.

While it's understandable that many people are drawn to the adorable cuddliness of kittens, adopting these resilient sisters would be a truly rewarding experience. The joy that comes from giving two shy cats a chance to flourish, watching them grow to trust and believe that you are there for them, is immeasurable. By opening your heart and home to Demmi and Danni, you will not only be saving them but also providing them with a lifetime of love and companionship that they so deserve.

We kindly ask you to share their story far and wide. Together, let's make it possible for these extraordinary sisters to find the loving home they have been patiently waiting for. With the collective effort of compassionate individuals like yourself, we can make a difference in Demmi and Danni's lives and bring them the happiness they so deeply deserve. We only adopt to people in the St. Louis METRO area. More about this rescue

St. Louis Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue group focusing on saving pets from local animal control facilities and other neglect situations.

We do not have a facility. All of the pets we rescue are in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide love, care training, and, if needed, rehabilitation to the pets. This also allows the pet to be more adjusted when they enter their forever home since they are used to a home environment (versus a kennel at the pound).
