Luke is a 45 lb. social butterfly, who melts hearts wherever he goes. He is a smart pup and fast learner while working with a professional dog trainer. Luke walks great on a leash, potty-trained, crate-trained and dog-friendly. He would do well as the only resident dog or with other pups in the household. Luke is a natural-born people and dog lover. He jumps in excitement (something he's working on), so children should be 9+ years of age, if any, in the household. He sleeps through the night, usually on his back and snoring in his crate. Luke would benefit from an active family who has a fenced-in-yard and committed to continue his training and taking him on dog-friendly adventures. He wants to be in on the action during the day, so minimal crate time during the day would be a better fit. Whether it's playtime in his foster’s fenced in backyard or cuddles on the couch, Luke is always ready to spread happiness and joy to everyone he meets. Our rescue is foster based, therefore you will need to make an appointment to visit with any of our animals that are available for adoption.
Most of our adoptable animals come from high kill shelters. Occasionally we are given specific breed information on the animals, but more often, we have to make an educated guess as to breed or mixture based on size, color and physical characteristics.
