My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Saxony, the sweet and shy 8-month-old Staffy mix with a heart full of potential. Saxony is looking for a loving family that can provide the support and patience she needs to gain confidence and feel secure in her new surroundings.

Her shyness adds to her endearing nature, and with the right care, Saxony has the potential to blossom into a wonderful and loving companion. A family that understands her need for gentle encouragement and can offer a supportive environment will be the perfect match for Saxony.

If you have the time, patience, and willingness to help Saxony on her journey to confidence, consider making her a part of your family. With your care and understanding, Saxony can overcome her shyness and become a cherished member of your household, bringing joy and love into your life.

Socialization, training (including house training), and exercise are just a few of the things I will look to you for.

Chewing, teething, and learning what is Okay and not Okay to put in my mouth are all part of the puppy experience. And, be prepared for the time and money for frequent trips to the vet during the first few months so I can get up to date on my boosters and vaccines.

But most of all, be prepared for all of the LOVE, puppy kisses, and joy I will bring into your life.

If you are up for the challenge and the fun, stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
