My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MAX is a 3 year old, large breed male mix that weighs 70 lbs. He was picked up as a stray by a local shelter and became an immediate favorite! (he was with his sibling brother who sported a long haired coat if that further confuses the issue as to what breed(s) he is). For his size, MAX is a gentle, goofy dog. He already knew sit and walked well on a leash but we thought it best to let him take a turn in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. He's been in there 2 weeks and he's having a blast! The more people and dogs to play with, the better. He's also enjoying the constant companionship of his inmate. It wont take him long to master the rest of his obedience and then onto a home that will be his forever!

He'll need a fenced in back yard and if children, older ones that cant be knocked over so easily. Another younger dog in the house would make it even better. He's very outgoing and social and should be a dog that could travel anywhere with you - vacation or a short trip to the store.
