My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bandito is 2 years old, has a ton of energy and is the life of the party.

This sweet boy with the coolest mustache in all the land, was found in a backyard in Brooklyn after being abandoned by his owners. He had a pretty awful tail injury at the time and it had to be amputated. Despite such a rough start to his rescue journey, this cat just wants to be loved!

He loves to play, loves meeting new people and he especially loves to eat. He has some food insecurity, so he would do best with an adopter who works from home so that he can get his three meals a day and lots of attention. He is currently taking anti anxiety medication, which has helped a lot.

He's great with humans of all ages and we think he would also love a feline companion. We aren't sure how he feels about dogs.

The most important thing to note is that he is super social and gets bored easily, so he would do best in a larger household where there are lots of people to pay attention to him and ideally experienced cat owners. He can get a bit nippy if it's mealtime or if he gets overstimulated.

Please contact me if you would like to meet him! He's only 2 years old and we would love to find him a home for the holidays.

Home Check

Pet will be delivered after the home check, adoption agreement signed and payment collected.

Additional adoption info

After your references are checked and application is approved, I will contact you for a video interview and home check, mostly to make sure there are intact screens on all the windows. Once approved you will sign the adoption agreement and pay a small fee which covers part of the prior vet care. All pets will have received all vaccines, testing for FIV/FelV, treatment for fleas/parasites, spay/neuter and will be microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Most of my cats and kittens are placed in foster homes throughout Brooklyn and visits will be conducted at their homes or virtually via video chat.

I am open to adopters within 3 hours of NYC.

More about this rescue

I am an animal lover who volunteers my free time to TNR feral cats in my neighborhood and rescue friendly cats and kittens. I live in an area that has an out of control stray cat population and I am doing everything in my power to change this.

In addition to rescue work, I also foster cats and kittens that need homes and am so thankful to be able to impact so many lives.

This work would not be possible without amazing adopters willing to open their homes and hearts to cats and for that, I thank you!
