My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Charlie is the bestest boy, and someone is going to be darn lucky when they scoop him up! If you’re looking for a dog that is up for adventure, be that exploring the outdoors together or napping on the couch, he’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that’s good with every person they meet, including kids, Charlie’s your man. If you’re looking for a dog that will bond quickly and that’s a smart pup who will pick up additional cues/commands with ease, well look no further!  This dog is a total package!

Charlie joined us in rescue and was in need of some TLC. He’d spent some time living in an outdoor kennel, and had a torn ACL in addition to Lyme disease. Charlie has gone through treatment, including surgery on his injured leg, and has come through with flying colors! He took surgery, cage rest and physical therapy like a champ and is now feeling better than ever and ready to get out and explore. Charlie is not a fan of being kenneled or left alone for long stretches, he had enough of that to last a lifetime so for this next chapter he’s looking to be someone’s full-time sidekick. Charlie is not a great match with other dogs or cats.

Charlie’s adoption fee is $250 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, and monthly preventatives. Charlie is seeking an indoor home only, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept their pets as indoor pets only, altered and kept current on vaccinations and preventatives. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
