Marvelous Mike was brought into the shelter after several days of trying to show him there was a better life than that of a stray. He was running with his mom and several siblings, most likely born after his pregnant mom was dumped to fend for herself and her coming family. He was extremely scared for the first two days but he has settled in nicely and is working on becoming a lover. He is doing very well with me but does tend to be very fearful of new people. His potential adopter will need to understand that he still has a tendency to revert to being a feral cat if frightened. He will startle at fast movement and new things until he gets to know you and his surroundings. Please keep in mind that he and his siblings were feral for 4 months so they are not a good fit for homes with children under 16. He is a beautiful yellow/buff medium haired boy that will truly steal your heart. He has learned to play with toys but his favorite thing is to play with his person. He was born around 06/28/2023 and has been neutered, microchipped, and has had his rabies shot. If you are interested in adopting, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the application. Once we receive the application, we will process it and call you if approved to set up a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
If we feel you are a good match, we will complete the Adoption Contract,review with you, and collect the adoption fee.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Then we will send you and your new family member home!

Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
