Carrie is 3yo, weighs 14lbs, is spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is microchipped. Guardian states: "Carrie is a sweet snuggler. She loves to curl right next to her human and feel safe. She loves her squeaky stuffed animals, especially ones you can play tug-of-war with."
Carrie's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome her:
"We are experiencing family issues and the environment is not good for this dog. She has bitten under stressful conditions and I don't have the time/capacity to be able to work with a trainer with her right now. She's reactive and not a good fit for our family at this point. It's unfair for her to have to live like this."
BITE INCIDENT: On 10 November 2023, Carrie bit her human sibling; the bite didn't break the skin and animal control was not involved. Carrie's guardian explains: "No medical attention was required. My daughter was moving near her too fast and Carrie bit her leg."
Carrie's guardian states the following regarding children: Carrie lives with a 12yo child, but her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, unless they are calm, stating "She pulls toward them and barks; I don't trust her leashed".
Carrie's guardian states the following regarding dogs: Carrie hasn't lived with dogs, but her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating "She barks, but eventually calms down and gets along with them. Does have leash aggression".
Carrie's guardian states the following regarding cats: Carries lives with a cat, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with cats, stating "She tries to chase the cat at all times".
Carrie's guardian describes her as:
Barks a lot
Likes to be touched
Protective
Always by your side
House-trained
Likes women
Likes men
Separation anxiety
Carrie's guardian describes her ideal future home: "A home with no cats. Calm children, other dogs ok. Ideally there would be someone home all day."
