My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet little Nugget, a 9 year old, 5 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in Spring Branch, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered.

Meet the newest member to United Yorkie Rescue, Nugget! Nugget is a super sweet little 9 yr old, 5lb tiny Yorkie. His coat is a beautiful reddish color. He reminds me of a baby fox! Even though, this little boys story is so sad, he's just the sweetest baby that has come through 2 horrific ordeals in his short little life. Nugget loves to give kisses, makes himself right at home and wants to lay snuggled up next to you all the time. His previous owner purchased him and a few other Yorkie's from a pet store. When he was around 3 years old, he was stolen. About 5 years later, someone saw Nugget tied up outside a house several hours away from his home. The police picked him up and his microchip led him back to his owners. By this time, they had several bigger dogs. A few weeks ago, one had attacked little Nugget causing a huge gash on top of his head that required stitches. The previous owner said the bigger dog had Nuggets head in his mouth shaking him. There is still some scabbing and it will take time for his hair to grow back. The previous owner was so concerned that Nugget could be killed and decided the best thing for him was to surrender him to the UYR. We have pee pads around the house but he hasn't used them. He has had a few accidents on the rugs, which tells us because he's so small he needs to go outside more often! Once he's at his furever home long enough to learn where to go, I think hell get the hang of it. This baby is so precious and deserves a calm, warm home to be somebody's shadow, couch potato, tv companion, travel companion and bed buddy! If you love Nuggets sweet little face and want to give him a wonderful furever home submit an application. Please know that due to his past, a home with large dogs will not be tolerated. If you feel you have the love to give this precious baby forever, please fill out an application below and/or reach out to foster mom! He will truly fill someone's
