Foster cat's bio for their adoption profile: Jasmine is a Torti short hair, with an orange ear and an orange blaze on her chest. She came into care with kittens of 2 different ages and pregnant. She had quite the catitude to start. Her foster mom was unsure how she would integrate when the time came as there was an established queen in the house already.

While in the maternity room, Jasmine settled in quite well. She still had words with some of the cats through the door. Now that she is out, she still has one cat she will give a grump and give chase to. She has one "friend". They don't sit or play together, but they will be quietly in each others space. As long as the other queen gives her space, they ignore each other. She likes to play with feather on a stick, jumping and chasing it. She likes to be pet and chin rubs until she doesn't. She wasn't picked up much in her previous life, so that weirds her out. She doesn't flip out but you can tell she is uncomfortable with the situation.

She doesn't independent play much, probably because she's been busy being a mom, but she certainly knows which drawer the feather on a stick lives in and enjoys interactive play with people.

She should be good with older kids. Other cats would depend on the cat.

More about this rescue

Since 1996 SCAT Street Cat Rescue's prime focus has been feral cats because of the limited options available for them. TNR is a successful option instead of the traditional trap and kill. The majority of the cats rescued by SCAT, however, are socialized and available for adoption. As the city grows, so to does the need for our services. Adopt, Donate, Volunteer, TODAY!
